CORE BELIEFS

Temkin Nutrition has 5 core beliefs that help improve anyone’s quality of life

  1. Personalization: Tailoring dietary recommendations to the individual's specific needs, genetic predispositions, and health conditions.

  2. Holistic Approach: Considering the interconnectedness of different bodily systems and how diet impacts them. For example, how gut health can influence mental health or how inflammation can be reduced through specific foods.

  3. Food as Medicine: Emphasizing nutrient-dense, whole foods that can have therapeutic effects, such as reducing inflammation, balancing hormones, or improving digestion.

  4. Root Cause Focus: Identifying and addressing the root causes of symptoms or health issues, rather than just treating the symptoms. For example, if someone has IBS, functional nutrition might explore potential underlying causes like nutrient deficiencies, digestive capabilities, and microbiome balance, rather than just focusing on eliminating foods or a purely dietary approach.

  5. Dynamic and Adaptive: Recognizing that nutritional needs can change over time due to factors like age, stress, or illness, and adjusting dietary recommendations accordingly.

By curating individualized diets, lifestyle changes, and supplements we can restore homeostasis, aka balance, to the body. The closer the body is to homeostasis, the better we feel.

Temkin Nutrition utilizes advanced diagnostic testing, 1-on-1 sessions, and customized, personalized wellness plans. During our appointments, we work to uncover the ROOT CAUSE of health issues and restore balance from dysfunction in the body.

What sets Temkin Nutrition apart: Through deep empathy, connecting with clients, and using connective thinking, Ross does what modern medicine many times fails- he listens.

Sharing your story and learning your history is the best way to see the full picture; the entire puzzle of our health. Temkin Nutrition helps piece that puzzle back together and uncover the imbalances and root causes that led to health issues in the first place.
